In the coming months i want to remake my CNC router to make it bigger and better with a better controller. I thought it would be great to have a machine stack light to indicate the state of the michine.
Each layer has a PCB with RGB LEDs on both sides. The machine can use Direct IO or I2C to control the colour of the lights. Direct IO will only control one colour on the upper LEDs on each layer. The Direct IO will make a RED, YELLOW and GREEN stack only. The I2C can allow for any colour from both sides and colour functions.
The light uses the RGB_LED Library to change and fade between colours.
