From the first time I saw this on the internet, I had always wanted to make one. When I bought a 3D printer, it made it easier to make will little effort need.
I went with a simple design made by Eric Harrell on thingiverse.
It took 4 hours to print at 0.2mm per layer and was easy to get working with no problems
I would highly recommend making the useless machine for a bit of fun. There are lots of different designs on the internet to choose from or redesign to make it your own.
