I picked up 2 of these 200W Digitech PA speakers from a warehouse sale for $20 (RRP $399) each. When i got them home I discovered that on a crossover had been blown up and the other has interference/noise going through the amp. Taking the crossover from the interference speaking and replacing the blowing one, I got one of them fully working. I'm going to look into the other when i have time.
The designs of the speaks are very poor and was bound to have something in there blown up. The interference speaking may have a blown transistor or power supply capacitor (giving 50Hz noise). I would not spend $400 on a new speaker but $20 is not bad to get some parts from it.
